Hadestown Audiences in Awe

Valor's production of Hadestown, Teen Edition is one for the record books, according to staff and students who witnessed the epic show! The talent, set, choreography, and music have been compared by many audience members to Valor's award-winning shows of the past, like Pippen and Les Misérables.

Director Suzanna Champion believes that in addition to the talent, what transcends their work on stage is their love for the story and the love they have developed for one another through the production cycle. "We were very intentional about spending time in devotions as a cast in which we studied the themes of this story and saw parallels in our Christian faith," Ms. Champion explained.

They also studied each character and took lessons from their choices and decisions. "I truly believe the audience feels the authenticity of our actors because they know the characters well -- but they've also come to know and love one another well. We are so pleased to know that our community is grounded and flourishing because of the love of Jesus," she said.
